Each and every one of us views the world we live in from a unique perspective. By creating and participating in cultural events, the school community learns, grows, and creates shared experiences that enrich everyone's lives.

We used January as our beginning of our Equity calendar of work to start the new year. In January 2022, we celebrated diversity and focused on "no child eats alone." Our focus is to bring awareness of the great diversity that exists in our schools and community and to ensure that no one eats alone, and that everyone is engaged in our community. We know that community participation is one of the foundations of being resilient in life and eating with others is a great way to enter into strong relationships with one another.
In April of 2022, we celebrated Women's History Month. We published a weekly blog about women in history as well as resources for classrooms.
We are looking to celebrate Hispanic Heritage in the month of September 2022. More than just publishing the blog, we are hoping to celebrate the unique and beautiful heritage of our Latinx students and their families.
