Color and Matching

Materials

• Colored paper, crayons, toys or cloths - red, green, orange, yellow, blue and purple.

• Table or counter.

• Ball - any size, rolled up sock.

Lesson

• Place the colored items on a table in a half circle.

• Have your child sit facing all the colorful objects.

• Have your child roll or push the ball towards the color you call out.

  • Call out a color and have them “drive” to the correct color

  • Add the following challenges

    • Windshield Wipers: Have your child swing their warm from side to side (over head or infront of them)

    • Bumpy road or Flat tire: Bounce the ball to the color.
