Our goal as a school-based occupational therapy team is to help our students improve and achieve functional independence with in their school environment. School-based occupational therapy brings focus to students fine motor, visual motor and sensorimotor skills as well as looking at functional life skills such as self-feeding, personal hygiene, and environmental control/access. We can do this by recommending activities, games, crafts, strategies, modifications, and adaptive equipment in order to address these skill areas and improve participation and access throughout their school experience.
Please do not hesitate to contact us with any questions you may have regarding your student’s needs or to discuss their occupational therapy program. We can talk about which activities are most appropriate for your student.
**Consult a member of our occupational therapy team with specific questions or concerns, and do not attempt any activities that you do not feel comfortable with. **
