When students arrive, we greet each other and they make their way to their individual cubby or hook. Students will take off coats and hang up their backpacks. Students will then choose a table toy (puzzle, manipulatives, game, etc) to complete at a table or on the carpet.

Morning Meeting is a time where we all come together on the rug. During this time, we greet each other and do the calendar and weather. This is also a time where we may work on our Fundations letters, find out about our theme, or hear about the activities for the day.

Our whole group lesson introduces all the students to the specific curriculum that will be targeted for the day/week. This format ensures that every student is exposed to key concepts and new information at the same time. It could be considered the first step in the learning process. We may read a book, use our interactive white board to listen to music, watch a video, or play a game on a specific topic, and more!
Time Frame: @15 minutes
Learning centers are an important part of the classroom, and usually involve small-group activities. Your child will do things like play with blocks, engage in dramatic play, be creative at art, read, do age-appropriate math or science activities, or write.

During whole group, we are able to reinforce the skills and concepts that are addressed during whole group lesson and learning centers. This is also a time for read-aloud's, movement breaks, additional curriculum activities, etc.
