Groups

Student Support Services provides individual skills services, classroom lessons, and group counseling to students of all grade levels!

Group counseling is a great way to learn important skills while relying on feedback from others and getting to practice the skills in real time. Check out some of our offered groups below! New groups are always being developed and may be formed specifically to address current concerns in the classroom. If you are interested in learning more about these groups or participating, please fill out the linked survey or contact Mrs. Sigler.

Elementary School

Lunch Bunch

Lunch bunch occurs weekly on Mondays and Fridays (depending on age level). Students are invited to eat lunch with Mrs. Sigler in a quiet classroom. During lunch bunch, students practice their social skills, such as listening, taking turns in conversation, and making new friends. Students are invited to lunch every 2-3 weeks, depending on the current number of participants in the group.

High School

Lunch Bunch

Lunch bunch occurs weekly on Tuesdays for students in 6th-9th grades. Students are invited to eat lunch with Mrs. Sigler. During lunch bunch, students practice their social skills, such as listening, taking turns in conversation, and making new friends.

Relationships

We all have relationships with multiple people in our lives. While we have to interact with others on a daily basis, it is not always easy. This group will work to define relationships and look at characteristics of a healthy relationship. Students will also explore the warning signs of toxic or abusive relationships, learn how to set appropriate boundaries, and learn about communicating with those who have different communication styles.

Please reach out to Mrs. Sigler or Mrs. Bergquist if you have any topic ideas for future groups!
