Hi, I’m Sarah Nguyen! I’m the president of both the Student Council and the National Honors Society, as well as an officer for Garden club and WALC. On top of that, I’m heavily involved in theatre, Be Nice, Kids Food Basket, Chem Club, and more more clubs at GHS. When I’m not at school I love hanging out with my friends and spinning my flag on the color guard. I believe my biggest advantage I have in this game is my social network and my drive to help the community.
Good luck to all the competitors, and may the odds be ever in your favor!

Hi, my name is Sutton! I am 4 years old and am in Miss Heidi's 4's Preschool class at the Early Learning Center. I love to be active and enjoy riding my bike, playing "sumos" with my little brother, and starting kitchen dance parties to rock and roll music. I am a comedian and keep everyone around me laughing. I have a great imagination and love putting on puppet shows featuring my favorite stuffies. I will be a huge advantage to my survivor partner in the surprise challenge because I am truly up for anything! I am creative, clever, silly, and have an incredible memory! I am small and an expert at hide and seek, I can sing every Kpop Demon Hunters song, and I love to run and play! Mostly, I just love to have fun and will bring a smile and high energy as a Junior Survivor.
Hi, I'm Liam! I've always been really interested in story telling. From a young age I imagined worlds of wonder and reached for new horizons. As time has gone by, more and more opportunities have arisen. I joined the AV class my sophomore year, and have worked on projects big and small from five short films- two of which are solo projects– to silly little advertisements for upcoming school events. In addition to film work, I write and produce music on the side. In line with the traditional framework of building hype, I hope to build heart through my connections within the community (we're gonna get hype too though!)

My name is Iselle and I am very excited to be part of the Junior Survivor experience! I worked very hard on my application and woke up early the day it was due to put on the finishing touches. I am in Mrs. Venhuizen’s 4th grade class at Central Elementary School. I love to spend my time drawing, crocheting, and making craft projects in my free time. Otherwise, you can find me at the gymnastics gym practicing my front flip and back handspring! I take pride in my ability to stay calm under pressure because that will give me an advantage in helping my Senior Survivor in the surprise challenge!
My name is Gabriel Lawrence. I'm a student leader in the school's Dungeons and Dragons club. I've studied Spanish for 4 years and psychology for 3. I am enrolled in the KCTC teacher academy and I plan on being a social studies teacher in the future. Hi, I’m Calvin! I am a second grade student in Mr. Moore's class at East Elementary. At school, I love to read the Wings of Fire graphic novel series and I’ve enjoyed helping East win the Crabby Trophy competition by working on the Reflex math app each day. After school, I love to play soccer, Little League baseball, and Minecraft. My biggest assets in the Junior Survivor competition will be my positive attitude and creative imagination!
Hi, my name is Oliver! I am very involved in the band program at GHS. I play baritone in symphonic winds and trombone in jazz band. I love doing crafts of every kind, but I especially like to do diamond paintings. I work at Starbucks, so of course I love coffee. I’m doing my best this year to be a part of everything I can, but I’ve also been trying to support the community more (and hopefully have fun while doing it). I think my biggest advantage in Senior Survivor will be the family of friends that I’ve built during my time at Grandville.

Hi, my name is Ryan! I am in fourth grade at East Elementary. I love participating in the image program and my favorite subject is reading. I enjoy playing video games, reading books, and playing soccer for Midwest United. My favorite video game is Minecraft and my favorite book series is Wings of Fire. Hello! I'm Sienna Baas. I'm grateful for this opportunity to Compete in GHS's Senior Survivor! I hope to get out there and create new friendships with my kind, compassionate, and helpful personality. I hope others will see that and will want to bond to make alliances. I have had a rough start to life, both medically and mentally. I was born with a giant Omphalocele and have had to wear uncomfortable back braces day and night. Mentally I struggle with anxiety and depression that affects me day to day, I feel that if I have been able to overcome all this for 17 years I could push through challenges for a week. With all this it proves how brave and perseverant I am. At GHS I’m involved in many things like colorguard, winterguard, Kids Food Basket, Links, and the Be Nice Club. I strive to do well in school and be nice to others. I will fight my way through this competition while also connecting with new people and experiencing this opportunity of a lifetime.

I do a lot of volunteer work through the NHS and outside of that. A few other facts about me are, I have 2 dogs, a German Shepard and a Doberman-German Shepard. I am going to college at the University of Olivet to play softball and go into the media productions program. I hope to become a journalist for Major League Baseball (MLB) once I graduate college.

My name is Alice Kleinheksel and I am a 3rd grader at South Elementary. I love to be involved in sports and spend time with my friends and family. I have three older siblings that also go to Grandville schools. A fun fact about me is that my favorite animal is a sea otter and a koala! I can really help my senior because I am super fast and have a ton of creativity that I can bring to the surprise challenge.
My name is Lucas Kranzusch (pronounced crayon-chess), and I've got two great strengths. First, I can lift a lot. Well, not physically - my spaghetti arms can't even bench 1001bs-but when it comes to being social, you better believe that I can support myself and others super well. Moreover, I always do things with a smile, which is my second major strength. No matter how irritating, demanding, or confusing an activity might be, I complete it efficiently, and I always discover new ways to have fun! My motto in life is to always spread positive energy, even if you don't feel like it.
Here's a little lesson on placebo: surrounding yourself in positive environments whenever you can will eventually shape you into an optimist, even if it happens unintentionally. Not many students understand this yet. I bring this philosophy along with me to the marching band, cross country, theater, NHS, and even my academics; you wouldn’t believe how many friends I've made - and the successes l ve achieved alongside them. Positive energy means everything in a world like this, and my goal is to make that known to as many people as I can. #Krazy4Kranberry

I think I am a good fit for Survivor because I always strive to be kind to others and follow the 3 Rs: Respect, Responsibility & Right to Learn! My special skills that I will bring to this competition come from being in Grandville Little League every season since Kindergarten and making the All Star team. I'm a catcher and it's my job to protect home plate! I respect my coaches, take care of my equipment and most importantly cheer for my friends even when they are on the other team! Let's hit it out of the park and raise some money for GPS!

Hi, I'm Samantha! Some things about me are that I love to sing. I’ve been singing in choirs since 3rd grade, and music overall is a huge passion of mine. Other interests I have include volunteering, which I do every summer with Comprehensive Therapy Center (CTC). I love watching the kids there grow each year and learn new skills. Some facts about my family and my life are that I have two younger brothers: Finn, who turned five in June and was born with Down syndrome, and Myles, who turned one in May. They can both be troublesome at times, but overall I am so grateful to have them both. I'm Parker, and I'm ready to be a senior survivor. I'm competitive and hardworking and I love taking on new challenges. Being a part of the rugby team has taught me how to work with a team, but also hit hard solo. I am a team player on and off the field, like when I joined Kids Food Basket. The little work I do is a reminder why collaboration and community matter. Climbing has taught me how to look at the good ahead, plan my moves, and stay persistent. My biggest advantage is my perseverance. I won't quit until my torch is put out. I will utilize my relentless spirit to push not only myself, and encourage my fellow competitors.

Hi, my name is Case and I am an energetic 8th grader at Grandville Middle School. I am a natural born leader because of my outgoing personality and caring heart. I am the first person to go out of my way to help someone. I am involved with an array of activities including sports, electronics, and even play the violin. Unfortunately, I have had no shortage of injuries and broken bones over the years, but this never dampened my spirit, but even inspired me to become more determined and tenacious. I, without a doubt, will use these skills to help my survivor overcome all challenges and I will be their biggest fan and cheerleader.
