The Kings of the Industry

A simple roll of a cardboard core

layered with perforated paper evermore

a divine specimen, in that time,

that was soon to be in store for more.

Countless of products lined up like in fairs

Were brought up with great conduct never to be teared

How they brought prosperity, without crossing the line,

For the Scott’s leading industry of personal care.

Embarking their journey with pushcarts,

Influenced by a patent: this was their start

Irvin Scott then Clarence Scott, entered the world at its prime

in the mid-1800s in the U.S. at heart.

They were to establish a company

Like no other was done before;

Like no one else had done before.

“Continue to enhance prime foundations;

don’t bring upon new innovations.”

Their secretly renowned tactic

bled through their hard-earned corporation.

The ethereal essence of the company, their slogan

Soft as old linen,

Mesmerized the prudish people

Advertisement no longer a negative advisement

Arthur Scott, the trademark’s decider

An aura, like a strong tiger’s,

Maybe inherited from his father Irvin,

swept away all other leading companies with his moral fiber.

For the world is cruel and death inevitable

These fine gentlemen left the world, being irreplaceable

1931, 1912, and 1927.

Their graves sitting alone ignoring the winds’ dance, still memorable.

They established a company

Like no other was done before;

Like no one else had done before.
