Giselle Esquivel was born on November 30th, 2010. She was born on a rainy Tuesday afternoon. She was born and grew up in Houston, Texas, but her family members are from Jalisco, Mexico. Since Giselle and her two siblings were born, their parents loved to take their kids everywhere. The family of five would spend their time traveling to different places together. When Giselle was little, her family would move back and forth from Texas to California. Her family was constantly moving because of her father's job.
Since Giselle was little, she has always been a very energetic girl. Once she got a little older, she decided to start playing volleyball. She thought it was a decent sport, but not for her. She later found interest in the sport soccer. Her parents then enrolled her in a soccer team with several of her friends from school. Giselle enjoyed going to practice every day because she got to spend more time with her friends while playing her favorite sport. Besides being an energetic girl, she has always been a very smart girl. Throughout her school years, her favorite subject has always been math. She has even won many awards for her knowledge of math.
In the past years, Giselle has accomplished many things, like earning awards. She has won her school’s spelling bee in 1st place. She then won 3rd place spelling bee in her whole district. Giselle has also won 1st place in math and dictionary skills at UIL. Academic awards have always been Giselle's biggest accomplishments because it shows how hard-working she is. Another one of Giselle's recent accomplishments was that she mastered both of her 7th-grade STAAR tests and showed growth in her understanding throughout the past year.
Giselle has big goals and dreams for her future. Playing a college or professional sport has been one of her biggest goals. She wants to be successful while doing something she loves and enjoys. Giselle also has a goal of getting a college scholarship, whether it's a sports scholarship or an academic scholarship. Thinking about her future, she plans to graduate high school in the top 5 percent of her class. She knows that studying hard and earning this place will not only get her more academic opportunities, but it will also make her parents very proud. Giselle’s biggest goal has always been to make her parents proud because they work hard to maintain her and she wants to give back to them for all their love and support.
