Overcoming Obstacles

A significant obstacle I overcame this year was being embarrassed of myself. It was always hard for me to walk across a room without feeling a hundred eyes on me. Especially playing sports, once the ball is passed to you, the audience's eyes shift to you as well, and if you mess up, it goes down hill. Competing in UIL is also embarrassing, but only if you don't place because it's what you worked for. It was a hard journey, and I'm proud to say I'm overcoming it! Happily, I've experienced the biggest improvement in my confidence this school year.
