Pterois-Volitans Angel of the Reef

The lionfish are everywhere,

Hiding in each corner.

Eating everything as if they were lions.

Lionfish invasion began in 1985,

In the past years, their population has only escalated.

Overpopulating the oceans,

Never leaving the coral reefs alone.

Feasting on the creatures around them,

Injuring the important parts of the reef.

Slaughtering many species of fish,

Hunting down new things to eat like tigers hunting down deer.

Divine models of the sea they are,

Expanding their poisonous spines afar.

Amazing people all over the world with the beauty of their spines.

Death, diarrhea, and disorientation is what they cause, 

Letting them take a hit is not a good idea,

Your life could end.

Taking over more parts of the ocean,

And overpopulating in the Pacific.

Killing them is seemingly impossible at this point,

Even some scientists have given up.

Over all the years of careful research,

Very few solutions have been found.

Everyone is losing hope,

Relieving the reefs from stress is out of range.

Please help us capture the lionfish,

Leaving them alone is no help.

Eat them like a hungry horse,

Abolish every single one of them.

Stop leaving them alone,

Every move counts.
