Evva Lopez’s life began on July 21, 2011, in Mexico City, around the same time her twin sister, Abby, was born. A few years later at the age of three, Evva and her family of five moved to Houston, Texas due to a surgery Evva needed to take. Her parents wanted Evva and her other siblings to also get a better education where her family mostly lived. When they turned five years old the two girls were enrolled in preschool, the twins and their older sister later attended Woodland Acres Elementary School. Throughout the years of elementary school Evva met great and amazing friends that were with her in good times and in bad.
Throughout her life, Evva has had many hobbies including drawing and painting. She has always loved to draw during her free time to release stress from school or any other problematic events happening in her life. Other than these relaxing hobbies, Evva enjoys playing volleyball and basketball with her sisters in their backyard. Although she is not the greatest at either of these sports, Evva continues to learn and progress on all her skills. At school she usually likes to borrow books from her teachers or the library. Evva either reads them at the end of her classes or at home on the weekends if she’s bored. While at home she continues to practice her instrument hopefully everyday to improve on the parts she is lacking. Evva does this to maintain her position in Wind Ensemble.
In school, Evva has always put great effort into her assignments and thus gets good grades like 90’s or above in all her classes, she has always made sure to understand the lesson and strive to get the best grades she could possibly get. Throughout elementary and middle school, Evva has been in Honor Society, to keep this up she has always gotten A Honor Roll in all semesters. Not only that, but Evva has also tied for second place in Social Studies at UIL in 7th grade. And although her grades are great, Evva also participated in many clubs throughout the past years. These clubs include the STEM Girls club and the Anime Sci-fi club, these clubs represent what Evva’s interests are and what she likes to do. She enjoys these clubs because in the Anime club you watch anime and Evva loves anime, these things apply to the STEM Girls club as she loves science. In eighth grade, Evva is now the officer in the Anime Sci-fi club and will continue to attend the meetings.
In the future, Evva hopes to graduate with honors in the top ten percent of her class. By studying hard and maintaining her grades high she is sure this will be possible. As well as grades, Evva’s one of many goals is to be accepted by a top college or university like UCLA, although she is still not sure on her career, an art major is a likely choice as she loves to draw. After college she would like to travel around the world and get to know beautiful places. But of course she would still want to keep in touch with her family and friends. Finally, if possible Evva would like to learn a language other than English or Spanish which would be very beneficial for her.
