On November 12, 2012 in Houston, Texas, a baby girl named Camila was born. Camila is currently 13 years old and goes to Woodland Acres Middle School (WAMS). She lives in a family of five people (that is including her). She has 2 younger siblings who go to Pyburn Elementary. Both of her parents are Hispanic. Her mom is from Mexico and her dad is from Guatemala, so she gets to learn about different cultures, eat different types of traditional food, and speak Spanish at home. Her mother works in the education department while her father works in construction. One of the craziest things about her is that she has 18 pets! The first ever pet she had was a German Shepherd named Rocky who she has had since she was seven years old. She also has 17 cockatiel birds and there are two laid eggs. Her and her siblings still haven’t named all of them, yet. The very first ones are named, Ash, Lima, Moonlight, Girasol (means Sunflower in Spanish), Coco, Banana, and Mango. So, every morning she wakes up to the sound of her birds singing random, yet lovely tunes.
Camila has many different accomplishments. Her biggest accomplishment ,yet, in the year 2026 is making it into region choir. When she heard that she made it, she got really excited because that had been one of her goals from the year prior. Another one of her accomplishments is getting into her school’s varsity choir. Because she got in, she is determined to be a better singer than she already is. She also accomplished getting into all advanced classes for her 7th grade year. When she saw she had all advanced classes, she was surprised, but proud of herself. She also maintained her spot in the National Junior Honor Society, and in encounters.
Camila has many different hobbies she loves to do. Her main hobby is reading books. She loves to read different genres, but her favorite genres are mystery and romance. She loves reading mystery books because she loves the different plot twists throughout the story. She likes to read romance novels because of all the different love types everyone goes through. Another one of her hobbies is to sing. She’s been in her elementary school’s choir since 4th grade, and continues to be in it because she has a passion for it. Camila also likes to draw, but she doesn’t draw as often anymore because she’s busy doing her school work.
Camila has many different and challenging goals for the future. Her main academic goal is to get into a good college to become a child psychologist. She wants to become a child psychologist because she wants to help other children with their personal problems. She knows that becoming one would be challenging, but she will persevere through it. Another of her academic goals is to get into all advanced classes for the upcoming school year (2026-2027). She wants to experience the same challenges she did this year (2025-2026) because she will be prepared for what comes at her. Camila’s last academic goal is to master all of her STAAR tests (Texas state test) because she wants to prove to herself she is intelligent. Her personal goal is to travel the world. She wants to experience the different cultures, taste new food, and learn about different events every country has.
