For me 6th grade was better than I imagined. Before starting the year, I was overthinking a lot and I still do. I used to think that I would get bullied or get lost. In reality I did not. I was also worried that I wouldn’t make any new friends this year. It turns out that I did make new friends. So far, my best friend is Iris(her actual name is Iritzel). I feel like this year was filled with more good things than bad things. Sure, I did get stressed a lot about needing to turn in projects, needing to do projects, trying not to get failing grades, and trying to keep up; but eventually, everything went well.
This year I’ve accomplished many things. For example, I passed all of my DA’s(district assessments) in math, reading, science and social studies. I also got into the National Junior Honor Society. Another thing that I have accomplished this year is passing all of my classes. I was afraid that I wouldn’t pass them, but in reality I did. This year I have accomplished many things that I am proud of.
There were things that were easy to do, but there are also things that are hard to do that seem impossible to finish. For me my encounters class was challenging. There were a lot of projects to do and some of them were not very easy. The project that was most difficult for me was the project where you had to choose your careers and colleges. The challenge of the mind projects was a little bit easier than the career project because you just needed to understand what you were reading while doing the research.
At the start of the year, I thought that math was a hard subject. After this year, math has been super easy for me. Even though sometimes I find a question difficult to answer, I eventually get how to do it. My math teacher, Ms.Milan, has made math easier for me this year as well. She’s been explaining all the topics in a way that I actually understand. Math has also been fun because of her. Some people may say that math is hard, but I think it is easy now.
