Research Poem 22-23

The man behind Walgreens

Charles was a young little boy

Inspired by his father to become successful

He cut off the tip of his finger

But this was just a trigger

He would later become a pharmacist

the path he took though

was surrounded by very dense mist

But like a seed

He started to grow

He got rid of his money

Banished never to be seen again

But that was the key

To have to maintain

He bought a store

Where he would open a door

For success and joyful times

But also filled with challenges

He had made the store more…

Brighter and happier

So much that the store smiled

To their customers

And their thrill was wild

So many people went to his store

All stacked on top they could

Reach to the moon

Charles Walgreen made

His own medicine

The best of all the displayed

And Of good quality

His store kept walking

To a path of great success

And when Walgreens

Was no longer alive it didn't matter

Because he accomplished

His dreams

The man behind Walgreens
