Reflection

My 7th-grade year was full of stress and work preparing for my next and last year at Woodland Acres Middle School. With the last weeks being packed with reviews for Staar. Every time I thought about it; it would pain me to know it was approaching until one day, it would be right around the corner. The thought of my 8th-grade self having to go through four of these cursed tests would give me slight relief accompanied by pity. The beginning of my 7th-grade year, however, wasn't as bad as in the 6th grade, for I was already familiar with my surroundings, and getting lost in the halls would be as rare as finding a live dino. The school didn't feel as big, and unlike the last time I was here, it gave me a sense of freshness. I would meet my friends almost every day and the rest of the year was just very relaxed and slow-paced. Most of the fun I had experienced didn't happen until the end because the school hadn't prepared many activities for us 7th Graders. Of course, the fun only lasted a while but I really did cherish all the moments I had in my second year of Middle school.
