My 8th grade year is ending and it's been the best year in Middle School, and it's my last before going to High School. This year my volleyball team won district champions and we got a banner with our names on it. The banner will be there forever and when I come back to the school I can see my name up there. Being in eighth grade meant that we had to go against the teachers in a Students Vs. Teachers game in front of the school. We were able to win a set but unfortunately, we lost against the teachers. This year we had a dodgeball tournament but our team got disqualified because the referees were on the wrong side and couldn't see properly and did many wrong calls.

This school year I joined the National Junior Honor Society, the Student Council, Girls Club, and Chess Club. In the student council and Girls Club, we organized dances to raise money for field trips and for our clubs. On some of the field trips, we have gone to the Dynamo Stadium. We went there to learn about science and math. The student council organized a field trip to Main event and I'm really excited to go.

This year I participated in the U.I.L. competition and won a first-place medal for Social Studies and a third-place medal for science. I also competed in Geo Bee and our school won third place.

I'm also excited about the 8th-grade ceremony and the eighth-grade dance because they will be my last experiences as an eighth-grader.
