AP World History: Modern is a course associated with College Board. College Board provides the curriculum and support for WHAP-M.
All students must have a College Board login using their personal email address. If the student took AP Human Geography last year, they already have an account and will continue to use it. If the student does not have an account, they will create them.
If their account is linked to their school email, they need to change the email on their profile page on College Board's website to a personal email address.
The AP World History: Modern exam will be given on Wednesday, May 15, 2023 at 8 am. Your student will need to arrive at school at 7 am.
The exam consists of two sections. Section 1 consists of 55 multiple choice questions (MCQs) and three short answer questions (SAQs). Section 2 consists of one long essay question (LEQ) and one document-based question (DBQ). Your student will prepare for these types of questions and essays throughout the year.
Specific details about the exam are located on the College Board AP World History: Modern exam webpage.
Your student will use College Board's AP Classroom tool frequently this year. If they mention an assignment on AP Classroom, this is what they are referring to. This is different from Google Classroom.
College Board provides review videos throughout the year. They are available through AP Classroom.
