JumpRope

What is JumpRope?

JumpRope is a grading program that is designed for schools and districts that are using standards- or competency-based grading.  JumpRope allows teachers to attach one or more competencies to an assignment or assessment and score students on those competencies.  At GWRSD and MES, we use JumpRope for Grades K-8.

What is the advantage of the competency-based progress report?

You learn more about how your child is actually achieving in school.  You will be able to see at a glance (through a colored progress bar and with a numeric score) how your child is progressing toward achieving the goals or competencies for their grade level.  Clearer reporting allows better communication among teachers, families, and students.  This helps teachers, students, and families focus on skill development and meeting competencies.
