Critical Thinking and Problem Solving

Definition

Critical Thinking and Problem Solving skills allow students to recognize complex issues in a challenging world, then seek to overcome these obstacles in an innovative and unique manner. ("Rethink Secondary Learning" 39)

According to The Critical Thinking Consortium: people are thinking critically if they make a judgement based on established criteria. Critical thinking is critical thinking— thinking in the face of criteria.
