2. Construct a Playground Plan which includes all mapping characteristics.

Students will be able to:

1. Describe various characteristics of a community.

2. Describe the difference between a need, /want, good/service and identify examples of each in their community.

3. Identify, describe and compare Urban vs Rural Communities, discussing population, land use, transportation, buildings, attractions/recreations etc.

4. Identify and describe various communities that exist in Ontario;

a) Farming Communities

b) Fishing Communities

c) Forestry Communities

d) Mining Communities

e) Recreational Communities

5. Create a media presentation as a culminating task.
