Art Teacher & Arts and Culture SHSM
As a artist, my favourite mediums are photography, painting and ceramics.
I believe that in art and life, one must take risks & potentially experience failures to find success. I encourage you to research those who found fame and success only after disappointment.
The difference between failure and success is resilience. The successful people made a decision to get back up and try again. If you come to art class with a desire to learn and a willingness to try, you will find success!

My favorite mediums are painting (oil, acrylic, watercolor) as well as hand-built and wheel-thrown pottery.
It is important to me to get to know and connect with my students before I can help them develop their own style and reach their artistic goals. I want students to feel safe in in my class and let them know it's ok to make mistakes and feel comfortable receiving feedback from me and their peers. I enjoy witnessing them making revisions to their ideas/work as they go through the creative process. I promote experimenting with various techniques, media and content that is personal and rewarding to them. But more importantly, I want them to have fun!

The creative process can teach us so much. We have a vision of what we want to create, who we want to be, but the real magic is in the journey to get there.
We are constantly discovering new things when we are creating and that itself is a great reward. PCI has so much to offer for everyone who wants to explore their creative side, I'm sure you'll love your time here.
