In the Term 1 Data Management unit, students are expected to be able to do the following:
1) Collect data by conducting a survey
2) Collect and organize discrete or continuous primary or secondary data
3) Display data in charts, tables, and graphs
4) Select an appropriate type of graph to represent a set of data
5) Create pictographs, bar graphs, stem-and-leaf plots, double bar graphs, and line graphs
6) Determine how well a set of data represents a population
7) Read, interpret, and draw conclusions from data
8) Compare different graphical representations of the same data
9) Explain how different scales used on graphs can influence conclusions drawn from the data
10) Demonstrate an understanding of mean, median, and mode.
