James has taught music at Lord Dorchester since 2014. He has a passion for music and creating musical opportunities for all students to discover not only their own abilities but the rich diversity that music brings.

James has taught music in TVDSB since 2008. He is a graduate of Queen's University where he completed his BMus. He received his Bachelor of Education from the University of Ottawa.

Outside of the classroom, James has conducted community bands and performed in bands and orchestras playing the French horn. Before teaching, he was a member of the Ceremonial Guard and taught band at the Cadet Camp, HMCS Ontario.

James is a proud father of two.
