From a nurturing environment to meaningful performance experiences, to an authentic development of 21st-century skills, the LDSS Music Department strives to meet the needs of all students. There are several opportunities for students to get involved and take on leadership roles throughout the school year, creating deep-rooted memories and cultivating friendships that last a lifetime! Our ensembles include the Senior Band, Grade 9 Band, Guitar Club, Stage Band and Percussion Ensemble.

BAND REPERTOIRE

LDSS has two bands for repertoire courses. Grade 9 students participate in the Gr. 9 Band and Grade 10, 11 and 12 students participate in the Senior Band. Students enrolled in repertoire courses receive half a credit per year, in addition to their scheduled courses during the regular school day.

For the 2020-2021 school year, all Band Repertoire classes are taking place online through Brightspace. This option is available to students in-person, as well as virtual remote learners attached to LDSS. All are welcome to join! See Mr. Callowhill for more information.
