Events

In a traditional school year,  the LDSS Music Department has several scheduled events to enhance the school culture and help to make connections with the community at-large. Between the Remembrance Day Assembly, Commencement, Pep Rallies and Assemblies, to organizing the logistics for concerts, Music Monday and social events, students have the opportunity to experience the behind-the-scenes work that takes place to make these experiences a reality.

To take an active role in helping with all of the happenings of LDSS Music, students are encouraged to get involved with our Music Council, where there are several different roles and responsibilities available to all skills sets and talents. From creating posters, to supporting social media platforms, to creating and implementing new event ideas, you are bound to find something that works for you! Each year LDSS Music performs four concerts featuring the various ensembles within the program. Each concert is uniquely created to give students the opportunities to experience a broad spectrum of musical styles and levels of performance.

Over the years we have had specially-themed concerts, such as: Pie Cabaret, Music from Around the World, and Film Favourites. There is something for everybody at a LDSS Music Concert!
