Preparing for an Apprenticeship/Job Training
Tradespeople are in high demand in Ontario and the provincial government also provides extra financial support for apprenticeship-related programs.
*Many opportunities exist for skilled journeypersons.
*Apprentices earn a wage while increasing both their skills and their theoretical knowledge.
*Finding an employer is a difficult step in becoming an apprentice.
*Co-op, part time work, and summer work are advantageous for making contacts. Talk to your teachers in technology or other areas related to your apprenticeship interests.
