The club organises a Motorsport UK accredited marshal training day each winter at Goodwood to refresh members' knowledge in fire-fighting, flagging, rescue, first aid, radio communication, leadership and much more. We'll publish the 2025 date as soon as we have it. The day is open to marshals of all grades and levels of experience.

Our Marshals Training Day in December was a most enjoyable off-season catch-up at Goodwood Racecourse, as well as being an opportunity to update our knowledge and skills.
Thank you to everyone who came along and special thanks go to Sam and Richard who put in a lot of hard work to organise the event.
We hope to organise some face-to-face training for new marshals during the 2025 season, with the annual training day at the end of the year. We’ll let you know as soon as we have a date.

Motorsport UK have spent a considerable amount of time creating online training modules to support the new Marshals Pathway. These are now official courses, which means we can spend more time delivering the practical modules at our face-to-face training days. The online modules can be completed at any time via the Motorsport UK Learning Hub. Once completed, a digital signature is placed against your records at Motorsport UK, so there is no need to get a physical signature in your Personal Record Card (PRC). However, you may wish to mark the relevant training module in your PRC as 'completed online'. If you would like a refresher, you can always go back and re-visit the courses again.
The Motorsport UK Learning Hub can be accessed only after logging into the Motorsport UK website.
Before our training days, we ask you to complete the generic modules in the Learning Hub and also any specific speed, race and off track modules that are relevant to your grade. With these already under your belt, we'll have extra time to cover the more practical and in-depth subjects. Please ensure you bring a screenshot or printout of the completion certificate for GE01A Fire Theory, so we know this module has been completed before the Fire Practical session.
