We organise two track days at the club each autumn to raise funds for charity. For 2025, Goodwood Marshals Club supports the Goodwood Education Trust and Race Against Dementia. Dates for our 2026 Track Days will be announced in early summer.
Our 2025 Charity Track Days raised an amazing £24,000, which will be shared equally between the Goodwood Education Trust, Race Against Dementia and our club.
Track conditions were somewhat challenging on Thursday, but we saw plenty of winter sunshine across the two days. As always, there was a fabulous mix of machinery on show, from daily drivers to pedigree race and rally cars.
The warm atmosphere in the Jackie Stewart Pavilion was in stark contrast to the chilly weather outside. Our charity representatives were certainly kept busy with questions and shared stories. The silent auction drew plenty of bids and people went home with some very special pieces of artwork, motor sport goodies and bottles of booze.
A massive thank you goes to everyone who took part, including the drivers, charity reps Sarah, Simon and Catherine, the Goodwood Marshals Club team led by Katja, the instructors, photographers and all those who donated items for the auction - with special thanks going to the Goodwood Motor Circuit crew who ran the event, many as volunteers.
Let's do it again next year!
A very big thank you to everyone who supported our Charity Track Days in November 2024. The grand total currently stands at a wonderful £24,985, which will be shared between the club, Goodwood Education Trust and CancerWise. Again, £8,000 was donated to each of the club's charities.
Enormous thanks also goes to our brilliant team of volunteers and to the staff at Goodwood Motor Circuit, especially for making Thursday run so well in the unexpected snowy conditions!
"On behalf of everyone at CancerWise, I would like to extend our heartfelt thanks for the incredible opportunity to be a part of the recent Charity Track Days at Goodwood. Your support and hospitality have made a significant difference, and we are truly grateful for the chance to collaborate with such a dedicated and professional team. We are especially thankful for the generous £8,000 donation, which will go a long way in supporting our mission. This contribution will have a profound impact on the work we do and help us to continue to make a real difference in the lives of those living with cancer and their families. It will enable us to continue providing much needed counselling, therapy sessions and support groups"
- Amy, CancerWise
A huge thank you to everyone who came and supported our two Charity Track Days in November 2023 and especially to Goodwood's instructors and marshals who gave their time for free.
Thanks also to Anne from Goodwood Education Trust, Sam from CancerWise and Jo from Superstar Arts for attending the track days and bringing information about their charities.
Over the two days, an amazing £24,000 was raised and £8,000 donated to each of the three club charities for 2023-4.
