Health/ P.E

We start our year by going through the basic rules of health and hygiene. Parents are requested to ensure that their child/children get enough sleep at night. In school, we are trying to enforce healthy eating habits; no junk food/ no packaged foods or juices at school. Processed foods have no nutritional value and are usually harmful, (research supported evidence), if consumed on regular basis. To enforce this rule for everyone, we are not going to allow the students to have juice, candy, chocolate or sugary cookies in school. Some ideas for a healthy snack are: cucumber, carrots, snap peas (any vegetable) apples, banana, strawberries (any fruit), cheese and some lunch ideas are a protein packed wrap, roti, sandwich, etc.

We encourage our young learners to be active and ask them what makes us healthy. They do understand that exercise and healthy food makes us strong.

Taking a bath at night is a good idea, your child can have a deep sleep and won't catch a cold by showering in the morning. This is also a good time to check for nails that need to be cut etc.

Hand washing, hand washing, hand washing!

Parents please practice 20 second rule to wash hands with your kids.

Some exercise routines are shared here for you!
