"Students who have a good understanding of English and have the discipline for daily language practice are encouraged to study a world language. Students planning to pursue a four-year professional degree program should take 4-5 years of a world language beginning in the 8th or 9th grade. Students planning to pursue a two year technical program should take 2 years of a world language beginning in the 10th or 11th grade."
