Welcome to Art!

Hello! I am Mrs. Brazell, and this will be my fourth year teaching Art at Creek Valley. I received my B.F.A. in Art Education from the University of North Texas, and I'm currently working towards an M.A. in Art History.

Art is offered to all grades, 6-8, and fulfills a fine art credit when taken for the year.

Art tutorials are offered everyday in the mornings from 8:25-8:45, and Wednesdays and Thursdays during "B" lunch.

Canvas is utilized almost daily. Assignments, assignment/project guidelines, and rubrics will be distributed via Canvas. All projects and most minor assignments will also be submitted to Canvas for grading.

Parents have the ability to observe their student’s pogress and activity in Canvas. The instructions can be found in the Parent Resources area at lisd.net.

Students will create a digital portfolio of their artwork in their Google Drive. At the completion of every project, students will take a picture of their work and upload it to their portfolio.
