Storybooks Canada is a free open educational resource that promotes literacy and language learning in homes, schools, and communities. Stories are provided in text and with audio so students can listen as they read along. We've selected a few to get you started:

While reading French print on the packaging of grocery items such as cereal boxes and cans, ask your child to make a list of the familiar French words they see, as well as a list of the French words that look like English words.

Quel est le titre? (What is the title?)
Quelles images est-ce que je vois? (What images do I see?)
Quels sont les mots familiers et les mots-amis? (What are the familiar words and the French words that look like English words?)
Quelles sont mes expériences personnelles? (What are my personal experiences?)
