Contests!

O'Poésie is a national poetry competition through Canadian Parents for French. The contest is for students between 6 and 18 years of age who are learning French as an additional language. Prizes include movie passes, gift card and tablets.  Click on the writing image to learn more. Deadline is February 9th, 2022.


Les Rendez-vous de la Francophonie  is a offering new cooking competition called Délicieuse traditions (delectable traditions). There are three categories to enter: 17 and under, 18 and over, or family. Send in your favourite family recipe and why you chose it by February 22, 2022. Click on cooking image for more details.

Contests!

Interested in winning prizes by showing off your French language skills? 

Canadian Parents for French had to cancel the provincial Concours d’art oratoire (speech competition) however they are hosting a slightly modified, online version of the contest.

The Concours virtuel is an opportunity for students to share how they are spending their time while schools are closed and events are cancelled with a video en français. The contest is open to all students from grade Primary to grade 12, regardless of French program. A donation of $10 to Food Banks Canada will be made on behalf of students submitting from grades P-5.  Students in grade 6-12 are eligible to win a cash prize with a matching donation to a charity of their choice.  Deadline is May 2. #EnsembleADistance

Initially, this project intiated by Sylvain Émard Danse and Danse Danse, in partnership with the Montreal School Board, had the ambition to teach choreography to students in grade 6-11, then to share the result as a video and performance on International Dance Day on April 29.

Faced with the current situation and with the agreement of Sylvain Émard, the project was opened to everyone.
