WHAT DO SCHOOL COUNSELLORS DO?

School Counsellors support students in these four areas:

• Personal (This could be anything a student wants to discuss)

• Social (relationships, communication skills)

• Career (future plans, information on schools and careers, application processes)

• Educational (credit checks, transcripts, course changes or concerns)

Everything you discuss with the counsellor will be kept confidential unless:

• they feel you will hurt yourself or someone else

• you're under 19 years of age and are being harmed by someone else

• you'd like them to share information with others (teachers, parents, Program Planning Team, etc.)
