Encounters with Canada is our nation’s largest and foremost youth forum for Canadians aged 14 to 17 years, located in Ottawa, Ontario at the Terry Fox Canadian Youth Centre.Their mission is to bring together young Canadians from all provinces and territories to our nation’s capital to discover - through innovative, experiential learning activities - our nation’s diverse cultures, heritage, institutions, history and leaders, as well as to explore potential career options – all of which will help shape them into informed and engaged citizens and leaders of tomorrow. www.ewc-rdc.ca

Youth Ambassadors Program with Canada brings together youth (aged 15 to 18 years old) and adult mentors from Canada to promote mutual understanding, increase leadership, and prepare youth to make a difference in their communities. It is an intensive program that takes place from July 18 through August 6, 2016, and is carried out in Ottawa, New York state, and Washington, DC. Participants have all travel, meal, and accommodation costs during the exchange covered by the program, in addition to health benefits with limitations provided in the USA. Deadline for applications for 2019-2020 is October 28th.
Forum for Young Canadians is Canada's premier civics education program for students aged 15-19 years old. Forum brings students to Ottawa for a week of intensive academic adventure immersing them in the exciting world of national politics and public affairs. Participants in the program spend one week in Ottawa with 100 other young leaders from coast to coast to coast. Their classroom is Parliament Hill and their teachers are Ministers, Members of Parliament, Senators, senior public servants, members of the national media and business leaders. If you have leadership skills and the desire to share your opinions... you may belong at the Forum!
Explore French-Language Program — Most expenses are covered! Are you looking for a spring or summer program to learn French? Do you want to discover another region of Canada and meet new people? Go Explore! Explore is an intensive language-immersion program. You can take the program in the spring or summer, whichever you prefer. Participants in Explore receive funding that covers tuition fees for the programs, instructional materials, meals and accommodations, workshops, and other mandatory activities. Shad Valley Every summer 1,000 trailblazing students spend 27-days at a Canadian university in seminars, labs and hands-on learning. It is for high school students in grades 10-12 who have a passion for mathematics and science, a creative entrepreneurial mind, initiative and drive, excellent communication and interpersonal skills, leadership skills, and participation in extra curricular activities.
