Hello! My name is Ryan Richards and I am excited to be teaching at Leslie Thomas Junior High again this year. This is my fourth year at LT and I will be teaching grade 8 English. 

I am originally from Oyster Pond, Jeddore on Nova Scotia's Eastern Shore. I have two amazing kids and enjoy spending time with family, boating, kayaking, golfing and officiating hockey. 

Prior to teaching at LT, I taught in my childhood community at both Oyster Pond Academy and Eastern Shore District High teaching primarily English Language Arts and Social Studies. 

I graduated from the education program at Mount Saint Vincent University in 2012 and have completed Master's Degrees in Educational Technology Integration and Supporting Learners with Diverse Needs and Exceptionalities. I recently completed my third Master's Degree through the University of New Brunswick in Administration and Leadership. 

I look forward to getting to know all of you better as the school year goes on.
