We appreciate our volunteers!

Volunteers are essential to a school. At Chester District, volunteers help out with our breakfast program, cafeteria, playground, in the classrooms etc. Without our volunteers, we would not be able to offer everything we do at CDS.

Volunteering in a school is a very valuable experience.  If you are interested in volunteering at Chester District School, please review the information below. We look forward to working with you!

To volunteer at any school in the South Shore Regional Centre for Education, the volunteer must complete and submit the following:

1. Vulnerable Sector Verification - 6388

Complete this form and take it to the law enforcement dispatch in the community where you live.

2.    Child Abuse Request for Search (Form A) 

Complete this CAR form and mail it to the address indicated on the form.

3. Form J - Complete this form and the supporting documents listed on the form if you will be providing transportation for students for school activities.

When the completed checks have been returned to you, please submit them to the school. These forms are then sent to the SSRCE Human Resources Department and must be approved before commencing volunteering. These screening tools must be updated every THREE YEARS.

If you are unable to print these copies from our website, paper copies are available in the school office.
