SAC Meeting...November 2021
Principal Update
Looking to possibly offer the Ski In School Program for grade 6,7,8. Possibly going for 3 days. We are having trouble arranging bussing and the cost is approximately $10,000 for 38 students for 3 days.
It was asked if North Highlands Nordic may offer a ski in school program.
Housing for the new Schools Plus worker is still an issue. Central Office would love for Cabot to have equitable resources but unfortunately housing is an issue for outside workers.
Donnie spoke once again about the shortage of subs in our area.
In the future students will be receiving bus cards that they will swipe each time they get on and off of their bus.
Donnie spoke about the problem of finding a French teacher to cover Mrs. Milne. We do not know when she will be returning and it is very difficult to find a qualified replacement.
Donnie spoke about how we are permitted to spend grant money that we receive. Many of these grants are very specific as to what the money can spent on.
Miranda Carr spoke about the program called “Kids In the Know”. The program is very expensive to buy but an individual has been hired to deliver the program but they never seem to come to this area. Miranda thought it might be possible to offer/purchase this program through grant money.
