Arrival & Dismissal

Bayview Community School opens its doors for students in elementary at 7:50 a.m. First class starts at 8:10. For Jr. High, the doors open for students at 8:50 a.m. and the first class/announcements start at 9:10.

Dropping off Students

Many parents drop off their children at Bayview Community School. Parents/guardians of students may use the “Drop-off Loop”, but cannot park in that area due to congestion. When picking up your child at the end of the day, please do not park in the loop as people parked in the lot are not able to leave if vehicles are parked. If you need to come into the school with your child please park in the provided stalls or alongside the road.

Idling

If you are picking up a student, please ensure your vehicle is turned off while parked and is not left idling. 

Arriving Late

Students who arrive late (after the beginning of first class) must sign-in at the office. 

Parent Pick-up

Parents who are picking up students at the end of the day are encouraged to wait until after dismissal, rather than having students called out of class a few minutes prior to bus dismissal. Constant interruptions (paging individual students for dismissal) at the end of the day creates a lot of confusion and denies all students of valuable class time.
