Last week was Booster Week at Turners Falls High School. Students showed their school spirit by dressing up based on each day's theme (Monday: Mopey Monday, Tuesday: Blast from the Past, Wednesday: Neon/Blackout Day, Thursday: Country vs. Country Club, Friday: Class Color Day) and classes competed in "Hallway Wars" by decorating their hallways. Congratulations to the senior class for their narrow win over the sophomores, winning best hallway with their theme of "High School Musical."

Booster Week culminated with a Homecoming Dance on Friday night, with the theme of "Starry Night." The weather was perfect for dancing outside and over a hundred students attended!

"Positively Gill Montague Regional School District" is an unofficial GMRSD Facebook group "in which to post good things about our local school district and the multiple schools within it . . . created by a community member, alumni, and current parent of a GMRSD student in an effort to spread the word, loudly, about what amazing things are happening in our schools." The group is organizing a display at this year's Light up the Fairgrounds and would like your ideas and assistance! You can submit your ideas here by November 1. All entries will be reviewed then a selected entry will be officially submitted to the event by November 5.

• Nov. 14 - TFHS/GFMS Music Department presents The Small Ensemble Music Festival, 1 p.m., Peskeomskut Park

• Nov. 17 - Winter Sports Signup Deadline - Registration is through FamilyID.
