Elementary Flag Raising
The GMG Elementary held their annual Flag Raising Ceremony on Tuesday, Aug. 23, 2022 to kick off their school. The Gladbrook American Legion Auxiliary and Color Guard led the ceremony with the help of Lisa Rinehard. The Junior Auxiliary members Alaney Sienknecht, Kinlie Miller, and Brayla Davis helped with the raising of the flag and The Pledge of Allegiance. We are so fortunate to have the Gladbrook American Legion Auxiliary help with this special tradition at GMG Elementary.
We have had some amazing things happening at GMG! We started our year off with our ‘Open House’ on Monday, Aug. 22nd from 5:30-6:30pm. This is a great time to meet our families and students before the first day of school! Students and families had fun with the photo booth and props that were available. The Open House night was followed up with a free will donation supper at the Garwin Park. This was all possible with the help of the Beef and Pork Producers!
We welcomed our students back with an All School Assembly. This was a great time to introduce our new staff to all of our students! Our assembly also recognized all of the hard work done by our teachers, custodians, paraprofessionals, and secretaries. We also celebrated the success and the involvement of our students in all of the activities they participated in over the summer. It was wonderful to see our students involved in so many different activities.
We are so excited for this school year! We look forward to setting goals and celebrating our students when they achieve or make strong gains towards achieving the goals they set for themselves! Our theme this year is We Are Better Together! Through the collaboration of our administration, staff, community members, and school board we can do great things when we all work together.
First Day of School
The secondary school started off the school year with teachers greeting students in the lobby and a welcome back assembly.
Yearbooks for Sale
The Yearbook Staff has gone through and inventoried all the yearbooks that we have on hand and are putting them up for sale. If you didn’t get a chance to purchase a yearbook prior, now is the time!
