TEAS for Allied Health
Qualifying exam and petition requirement for the following Allied Health Programs

All TEAS exam scores are valid for a period of five (5) years from the date the exam was taken. Scores older than five years will not be accepted.
PLEASE NOTE: Starting August 1, 2025 and moving forward
All HP-A2 exams scores will no no longer be accepted. After this date, HP-A2 scores will not be considered. Students are required to take the TEAS Entrance Exam for Allied Health programs.
All students will have 3 lifetime attempts for TEAS for all Healthcare Pathway programs. Students who took TEAS before, they will have 3 new lifetime attempts after August 1, 2025.
TEAS Exam Costs and Coverage
First Attempt Coverage (Effective August 1, 2025):
* MATC will cover the cost of the first TEAS exam attempt for all students taking the exam on or after August 1, 2025.
* Students registering for their first attempt (on or after August 1, 2025) will receive a one-time use coupon to cover the exam fee. Instructions for obtaining and applying this coupon will be provided during the registration process.

Important Dates:
Fall start: Review Window in February that means students need all academic program requirements (grades, TEAS scores...) in the system by
by January 31st at midnight to be reviewed in February
Spring start: Review Window in October that means students need all academic program requirements (grades, TEAS scores...) in the system by September 30 at midnight to be reviewed for October

Overview:
TEAS (Test of Essential Academic Skills) testing will be available in person only at MATC downtown campus or approved testing center.

Please check with your advisor/coach to determine if you have already met the testing requirements for your program and what type of exam you need, TEAS In person (No Remote) or HESI LPN-RN Progression.
