At Zhongyuan Elementary School, we are dedicated to helping students develop a global perspective and an appreciation for diverse cultures. Through various international education programs — including English Day events, co-teaching with foreign teachers, project-based learning, and global exchanges — we provide students with rich opportunities to use English in authentic contexts and to interact with peers from around the world.
This semester, Grade 4 Class 5 students participated in a special project-based international exchange. Over two to three months, the students combined their school-based Mini Zoo curriculum with English learning. Guided by both local and foreign teachers, they began by reading Cows in the Kitchen, practiced key sentence patterns, and conducted their own research on their favorite “animal stars.”
On June 5, our students proudly presented their project findings in English to classmates and partner schools in India and Ukraine. Through this meaningful exchange, they not only built their English communication skills, but also gained valuable insights into different cultures and ways of life — a wonderful step toward becoming global citizens.

活動內容
本活動由四年五班學生參與,歷經 2 至 3 個月專題準備。學期初結合本校「Mini Zoo」特色課程,並由中、外籍教師協同教學,帶領學生閱讀繪本 Cows in the Kitchen,練習主題句型,建立語言表達基礎。
隨後,學生依據個人興趣,自行上網查詢中園動物明星的來源、特性與原產地,進行資料蒐集與內容整理,發展專題報告。
於 6 月 5 日活動當天,學生將學習成果以英語簡報方式,透過線上平台分享給班上同學及來自印度與烏克蘭的學生朋友。學生們亦觀摩國際夥伴的報告,進一步了解不同文化背景中生活方式與環境的差異,展開一場豐富的國際交流。
