At Zhongyuan Elementary School, we are committed to promoting international education by organizing various learning activities such as English Day events, co-teaching with foreign teachers, theme-based global awareness lessons, and multicultural experiences.
Through these rich and engaging programs, we encourage students to confidently use English in real-life contexts, explore diverse cultures, and strengthen their ability to learn and communicate independently. 活動內容
本活動由六年四班學生參與,歷經長期學習與準備,內容結合本校「藍染工作坊」課程及三峽在地文化探究,由中、外籍教師(Miss Sharon)協同教學。
學生從四年級開始學習資料查詢技巧,進行藍染技藝與三峽文化的專題研究,並於今年首次透過國際教育平台,與日本佐賀市小學生進行線上交流。
活動當天,學生以英語簡報方式,向日本師生介紹中園國小的藍染工作坊與三峽老街文化特色。雙方並進行中文與日文的語言交流,氣氛熱絡,增進彼此對不同文化背景的理解與友誼,為孩子們帶來寶貴的國際交流經驗。

This video features an online international exchange between elementary school students from Taiwan and Saga City, Japan. Through English communication, students introduced themselves, shared their daily lives and cultural highlights, and built cross-cultural understanding.
At Zhongyuan Elementary School, we actively promote English Day activities and international exchange programs, helping students gain confidence in using English and develop a global mindset.
為了營造豐富的英語學習環境,提升學生英語聽說能力與跨文化理解力,中園國小每學期規劃英語日活動,透過主題式教學、情境互動、市集闖關、專題發表等多元方式,讓孩子在真實、有趣的情境中勇於開口說英語。
此外,結合國際教育理念,本校也積極與國內外學校進行線上國際交流,讓學生有機會認識世界不同文化,培養全球視野,增強自信心,成為具備國際素養的小公民。

結合本校「Mini Zoo」校訂課程,發展主題探究能力

透過國際互動增進學生自主學習動機與表達自信
活動內容
本活動由四年五班學生參與,歷經 2 至 3 個月專題準備。學期初結合本校「Mini Zoo」特色課程,並由中、外籍教師協同教學,帶領學生閱讀繪本 Cows in the Kitchen,練習主題句型,建立語言表達基礎。
隨後,學生依據個人興趣,自行上網查詢中園動物明星的來源、特性與原產地,進行資料蒐集與內容整理,發展專題報告。
於 6 月 5 日活動當天,學生將學習成果以英語簡報方式,透過線上平台分享給班上同學及來自印度與烏克蘭的學生朋友。學生們亦觀摩國際夥伴的報告,進一步了解不同文化背景中生活方式與環境的差異,展開一場豐富的國際交流。

教師節快樂! Happy Teachers' Day!
We are immensely proud to announce that our Grade 5 students successfully participated in the online discussion on the SDG 5 topic, "Protecting Our Oceans," held on 8th June 2024. This event was an incredible opportunity for our students to engage with peers from around the world, share their thoughts, and learn from diverse perspectives. 2024/06/08

These students represented us with great enthusiasm and shared their ideas on how we can all contribute to ocean conservation. Their participation reflects our commitment to fostering global awareness and environmental responsibility among our students.
Thanks to the teachers from all over the world, each teacher and student contributed valuable insights and personal experiences, underscoring the critical need for individual and collective action to protect our oceans.

1. Tr. Sharon Wang, Taiwan:
- Emphasized that protecting the ocean is everyone's duty.
- Suggested actions like reducing plastic use, participating in cleanups, and supporting marine conservation efforts to preserve the ocean for future generations.
2. Tr. Vathsala Nayer, Malaysia:
- Highlighted the crucial role of the ocean in regulating the climate, providing food, and offering jobs.
- Explained that the ocean helps us breathe by absorbing carbon dioxide.
3. Tr. Zainab Gambo, Nigeria:
- Discussed the vast diversity of flora and fauna in the oceans that need protection to maintain ecosystem balance.
4. Tr. Emi Mubarok, Indonesia:
- Noted active student participation in ocean conservation discussions.
5. Tr. Dung Nguyen, Vietnam:
- Encouraged reducing plastic use, keeping the environment clean, limiting toxic chemical usage, and participating in environmental education programs to raise awareness.
6. Tr. Bright Garden English Centre, Myanmar:
- Advocated for reducing pollution, promoting sustainable fishing practices, conserving coral reefs, and engaging in clean-up efforts and environmental education.
7. Tr. Zinzinthin, Myanmar:
- Explained why the ocean is salty and why ocean water appears blue, touching on the scientific aspects of marine environments.
8. Tr. Hanumant Deshmukh Sir, India:
- Showed a practical connection between daily rituals and the ocean, with his student presenting an acronym for remembering ocean names and discussing the decline in the population of Alaskan snow crabs.
9. Tr. Pratima Deshmukh, India:
- Taught English idioms and phrases related to aquatic life, and a biology teacher from her school shared insights into marine ecosystems.
10. Tr. Muhammed ADNAN Jamil, Pakistan:
- Connected mathematics to the shapes of sea animals and highlighted Karachi as a Turtle Center.
11. Tr. Anastasia Amvrosiadou, Greece:
- Presented NASA videos and called for international cooperation in addressing marine conservation challenges.
12. Tr. Delia Sofronea, Romania:
- Discussed the ecological significance of coastal areas and the need for sustainable practices to protect marine habitats.
13. Tr. Immanuel K Owusu, Ghana:
- Highlighted Ghana's initiatives in marine conservation and sustainable fishing, with additional insights from Tr. Elizabeth on encouraging student participation.
14. Tr. Gurjot Varinder Singh, India:
- Discussed India's efforts in tree planting and environmental conservation to mitigate climate impacts on oceans.
15. Tr. Sita Ram Mahat, Nepal:
- Expressed concerns about ocean misuse leading to environmental degradation and ecosystem disturbance.
16. Dr. Sangeeta Mukherjee, India:
- Highlighted the ocean's role in oxygen production and carbon capture, and its importance as a food source.
17. Tr. Nikita, India:
- Provided alarming statistics on plastic pollution and its impact on marine life.
18. Tr. Ritik Ranjeet Karwasra, India:
- Shared insights from his article on plastic pollution and ocean conservation.
