Students are required to read ONE book for Summer Reading.
You can read ANY book of your choice as long as it meets these criteria.
Your book DOES NOT need to be on the list below.
These are recommendations for students who would like suggestions.
Many books are available as free ebooks using Hoopla through the Boston Public Library. (You must get a free Boston Public Library ecard first.) Follow this link for directions on how to get an ecard and use Hoppla.
After you read your book, complete your assignment on paper using a template that we will provide you with. The template will be posted in May. You will turn it into your teacher in September on the day of the Summer Reading event.
We encourage parents and caregivers to discuss Summer Reading choices with their teens to help them choose books that are the right fit for their interests, needs, and families.
The two titles below are our "Reggies Read" picks. Students who read these will have the OPTION to be in a class during the Summer Reading event in September with students who all read the same book.
