Complete the Summer Assignment where you will create a Book Talk about the book you read. Students in grades 10-12 will submit via Google Classroom.

Optional -- attend a Summer Support Session to get help with your assignment. Dates are below.

Participate in the Summer Reading event this September where you will present your Book Talk to your class and learn about books your classmates have read!

Would you like help with your assignment for Summer Reading or a quiet place to read? If so, attend our optional Summer Support Sessions for Summer Reading. Teachers will be available to help you with your Summer Assignment, and you can also come to read your book. For the in-person sessions, you should bring your Summer Reading book if you have it and your Summer Assignment.
Session Dates:
Sessions are drop-in style -- you can attend as many as you would like. You do not need to sign up in advance.

Incoming freshmen are not using Google Classroom. Incoming freshmen will submit paper copies of their Summer Assignment in September on the day of the Summer Reading event at school. Incoming freshmen can access the assignment here.
Students in grades 10-12 must submit their assignments on Google Classroom.
Summer Support Sessions
Dates will be posted in June. Please check back for session dates and times.
Need help with your Summer Reading assignment? Attend an optional Summer Support Session. Teachers will provide help with your assignment and you will be able to ask questions about your book and have a quiet space to read.

Summer Reading is Worth Two Learning Assignment Grades in your English Class.
Students will complete a graphic organizer over the summer which you will use to prepare you for your Book Talk that you will give to your classmates during the Summer Reading Event in September.

Book Talk during Summer Reading event in September-- 50 points
