Hi GJS community! I’m Aditya Liviandi, and I’ll be teaching Mathematics.
I taught H2 Math and H1 Project Work in Singapore for six years before returning to Jakarta ten years ago.
In the ten years, I worked as a data scientist as well as managing the academic department in one of Indonesia’s ed-tech (also 9 months in culinary school).
I’m excited to return to teaching after many years outside the teaching profession; hopefully I’m not too rusty. Outside school, I enjoy guitar and cooking.
Hello! My name is Kerrine Reivers, and I am excited to be joining this vibrant school community.
I am originally from Jamaica and have been an educator for over 15 years, teaching Grades 3, 4, and 5. My international teaching journey began in 2015, and since then I’ve had the opportunity to teach in Jamaica, the United States, and the United Arab Emirates.
These experiences have shaped my approach to teaching and strengthened my belief in the power of education to connect people across cultures.
I earned my undergraduate degree in education in Jamaica and later completed a Master’s in School Management at Western Carolina University.
I consider myself a lifelong learner continually seeking new ways to grow both professionally and personally.
My philosophy of education centers on supporting students in constructing their own knowledge, not just about academics, but about themselves and the world they live in.
I believe that when students are given the tools and support to think critically and independently, they develop a sense of purpose and confidence that stays with them for life.
I love seeing growth, whether it’s in the classroom, in a student’s self-awareness, or in my own teaching practice.
Outside of school, I’m a proud mother of two wonderful children who are truly the apple of my eye. I’m passionate about making a positive difference in the lives of young people and feel honored to be part of their educational journey.
I’m looking forward to a rewarding year ahead and to becoming an active part of this school community!
Hello, Global Jaya School Community! I am Fanty. I am going to be the MYP science teacher this academic year.
I have been teaching secondary students since 2016. With a background in chemistry, I bring curiosity and encourage students to see science not as a set of facts, but as an exciting tool to explore surroundings.
Besides my fondness for science, I like to enjoy music and do sports, such as badminton and archery.
I am enthusiastic about the journey ahead in this community.
I’m Hizkia Abdiel Jaya, a music educator, composer, and producer with a deep love for all things music. I hold a Bachelor’s degree in Music from Harvest International Theological Seminary and have been involved in teaching, arranging, and producing across different settings. For me, music is not just a skill but a way to connect, express, and grow together. I’m passionate about sharing what I’ve learned and contributing to the music community wherever I can
Hello, GJS community!
My name is Sarah Putri Beanka, and I’m excited to join as an Assistant Teacher for Grade 2 in the Primary School.
Being part of this school has helped me realize that to be a PYP educator, we must be emotionally grounded, holistically prepared, and committed to creating a welcoming and inclusive environment where every student feels safe, seen, and valued.
With over five years of experience in education, my teaching journey began while completing my degree in English Language Education. I’ve taught English and Bahasa Indonesia to both second- and foreign-language learners and took part in a social internship program facilitating language learning for children in Sumba.
After graduation, I worked as both a special needs teacher and a homeroom teacher for three years, engaging with a variety of curricula including Cambridge, the IB, and Kurikulum Merdeka.
Outside the classroom, I’m passionate about wellness practices such as yoga, hiking, and trekking, and I also enjoy baking and cooking in my spare time.
I’m looking forward to contributing to the GJS community and continuing to grow as an educator alongside passionate colleagues and curious young learners.
My name is Jonathan Pager, and I’m originally from Phoenix, Arizona, USA. I’ve been teaching for over 14 years in China, the United States, and now Indonesia. Currently, I teach DP Biology and MYP Science, and I’m passionate about helping students build confidence in their learning.
I hold a Master’s degree in Secondary Education and a Bachelor of Science in Biology. One of my favourite parts of teaching science is guiding students as they design their own experiments—whether it’s for the IA, Extended Essay, or class investigations. I enjoy watching them engage deeply with the scientific method, think critically, and take ownership of their learning journey.
Outside the classroom, I love spending time in nature—especially near the beach or in green, peaceful places—and spending time with my family.
I’m Reffy Thomas Aquino Bawengan, but you can call me Reffy.
I hold a Master’s degree in Management, specializing in Human Resources.
I have 17 years of experience in the HR field across a variety of industries, including telecommunications, banking, securities, mining, and digital printing.
I’m very excited to step into the education sector for the first time and feel honored to join Global Jaya School as part of the HR team.
I look forward to contributing to the school community and growing together with all of you!
