Efforts to achieve the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) in schools are crucial in educating and empowering the next generation to become responsible global citizens who can contribute towards a more sustainable future. Here are some ways GIIS East Coast work towards achieving the UN SDGs:

At GIIS East Coast, our PYP Curriculum have successfully integrated the SDGs into their curriculum across various units of inquiry to raise awareness and understanding among students about the global challenges and opportunities for sustainable development.

Encouraging students to taken on projects and initiatives that align with specific SDGs can empower them to become change0makers in their communities.
