Year 11

Thursday 18 December 2025
Year 11 have had an extremely busy term, with PPE examinations and college applications taking place. Students have worked hard throughout, and it is now really important that they take time to rest and recharge over the Christmas period in preparation for the term ahead.
Attendance this term has been excellent across the year group, with particular praise going to 11 Carew for their outstanding attendance. Thank you to parents and carers for your continued support in ensuring students attend school regularly.
A special shout-out goes to the 180 students in Year 11 who currently have five or fewer behaviour points. This reflects consistently positive choices and attitudes, and we are incredibly proud of this achievement.
As always, we are proud to recognise our Scientists of the Half Term. Congratulations to our Biologist of the Half Term Edward C (11B), Chemist of the Half Term, Ethan D (11C), and Physicist of the Half Term, Zain G (11M).
We would also like to congratulate our top three Achievement Point earners this half term: Max D (11SB), Joshua O-M (11SB), and Aiden R (11M) a fantastic achievement.
Finally, well done to 11Merton, who are the winning tutor group and will be enjoying their afternoon tea tomorrow as a reward for their efforts.
We wish all Year 11 students and their families a restful and enjoyable Christmas break.
Miss Zimmermann, Head of Year 11
Michele Miller Event: 12 January 2026
We are looking forward to the Michele Miller Revision Evening ‘Revision Strategies: Practical Strategies for Revision’ on Monday 12 January from 6.00pm - 7.30pm in The Proctor Hall.
This is the second session being offered by Michele and builds on the October session, ‘Creating the conditions for your child’s success – working in partnership to support your child as they embark on Y11’. Please note that this session is not a repeat of the October session.
To help us with planning for the event, can you please take a moment to complete the short Google Form below to indicate whether or not you are planning to attend, and if so, how many seats you require.
Please can you aim to have this completed by Friday 2 January.
If you do intend to attend, please could you ask your child to bring two different coloured pens and something to lean on (a book or folder will suffice).
If you have any questions or there is anything we can do to support you or your child, please do not hesitate to get in touch.
