4:00 pm start time, arrive as early as 3:30 pm.
Bring any number of players.
Provide your own pizza and beverages. Inquire with host if a group order is available.
No registration the day of.
There are no set number of rounds, as these will be casual games.
Coaches present may select time controls to use. Players should use this opportunity to learn how to set, pause, and adjust their clocks.
Pairings are informal, and determined by coaches.

All schools pay a single entry fee of $25.00 regardless of the number of players attending.
Checks payable to the host school. Payable prior to, the day of the event or within 30 days after the event.
Host school will provide you an invoice and receipt upon request.
Entries: No Potential Players List is required for this event. Bring as few 1 player, or all of your players.
While number of entries is not limited, please check in with the host coach if you would like to bring more than 20 players.
Your host may arrange a pizza order as an additional cost, they may also recommend a nearby restaurant.
Chess boards should still be set up properly. Coaches and captains should be helping new players learn how to set up boards and play by touch move (or clock move if playing a blitz time control).
Bring your own chess sets and clocks. Are you part of a new chess program? Ask the host about borrowing some that day.
Host school determines the number of slots, and if & when they may be given to non-UEC teams.
Inclement weather? The host school determines if the event will be cancelled due to weather, moved indoors to their school, or postponed to a later date and time. There is no predetermined make up date.
There are no official conference awards distributed at this event.
Host may have their own awards for this event (ribbons, bag of candy, chess equipment, event sticker, extra pizza, etc).
NO results will be posted to the ICCA website. This IS NOT a Qualifying Tournament for the IHSA Chess State Series.
There are no concessions for this event. You are responsible for your own team's food and drink.
There are restrooms on site. However, you will be too far from the school campus to use theirs.
Please contact the host at least 1 week prior to the event if you have a team member with mobility restrictions and requires accommodation.
Have your team completely clean up before you leave.
